Riverbend Plantation is voluntarily recalling its own brand Saskatoon Berry Chocolate Hearts as they contain milk and hazelnuts that is not mentioned on the product labeling, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
The products subject to recall Saskatoon Berry Chocolate Hearts were sold in packs of one piece, 65 g (4 pieces) with UPC 0 56047 01106 6, 130 g (8 pieces) with UPC 0 56047 01108 0 and 16 pieces (320 g) 32 pieces (640 g) bearing lot number 212.
These products have been distributed in Saskatchewan. CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
There have been no reported reactions associated with the consumption of these products.
Customers intolerant to milk or hazelnuts are advised not to consume these products as it may result in a serious or life-threatening reaction.
