US-based Newman's Own is voluntarily recalling its Lite Honey Mustard Dressing as it contains milk which is not mentioned on the label, according to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The recall was initiated after it was found that the product was labeled with an incorrect back label that did not describe milk as an ingredient.

The recalled products were sold in retail stores in the Eastern to Midwestern US. The affected packages are 16fl. oz. bottles of Newman's Own Lite Honey Mustard Dressing bearing a sell-by date of 16 October 13 M with a time stamp from 12:47 - 13:30 and UPC code of 0 20662 00292 1.

The sell-by date can be found on the neck label of the bottle. To date, there have been no reported reactions associated with the consumption of the recalled product.

Consumers intolerant to milk are warned not to consume the product as it may result in serious or life threatening reaction. The company has advised consumers to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
